V & A Textile Cards
The V&A celebrates British creativity at the highest level. Its extraordinarily diverse collections continue to inspire excellence in design which is recognised all over the world. One of its greatest strengths lies in the holdings of British 20th century textiles from leading UK manufacturers and designers.
From 1951 onwards Lucienne Day (1917–2010) revolutionised British textile design with her inspirational printed furnishing fabrics. These notecards feature some of her eye-catching designs and include examples of designs by Robert Stewart (1924-1995), Kenneth Rowntree (1915-1997), Marian Mahler (1911-1983), Jacqueline Groag (1903-1985), Mary White and James Wade, for Edinburgh Weavers, Heal's and Sanderson, all held in the collection of the Victoria and Albert Museum.
These cards are 160 x 160mm and printed on a silkweave surface board.
